I want everyone to make sure they attend the Beneath the Sea convention this year. I just got my brochure in the mail, and it looks like another stellar year.

I will be attending four seminars on Sunday. For those of you who haven't been to BTS before, its the worlds largest scuba convention, and is held at the Meadowlands Exposition Center. The dates this year are March 28th, 29th, and 30th.

I'm going to try and attend:
Life (and death) on the Texas Towers
Fatal Mistake:The story of the U-352
A few New Jersey shipwreck tales
If possible, I may also attend "free to be free: Handicapped Scuba Diving". I think this may be something I'd be interested in doing.

Hey Mike, is it just seminars all weekend? What else goes on? I'm thinking vendors selling stuff and different booths and the like. is it definitely worth it??

Its lots and lots of vendors, all kinds of things. They aren't supposed to sell "life support", but they display it. You can buy lots of stuff, get ideas of what is new, lots of travel stuff, lots of stuff that will make you go gaa-gaa. Check out their website at Beneath The Sea. I'll be there Sunday.

Hmm I didn't see any seminars that I would like to take. I'm thinking something more like a drysuit class.haha

So you can't buy things like Regs, Tanks, and CCR's but most other stuff is fair game. Credit cards could be a potential problem!!! haha

They are not supposed to sell these items, but I can say with a good degree of certainty that it does happen.

Well I wont say anything if they don't..haha I could use a set of HP 119's and a pony I would like to get them new. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I could find them at the flea market but if not I'll try at BTS. I'm sure I'll want to pick up a few other things.

I could use a nice light too. A can light would be great!!!
