Mike looks like WV might be doing Dutch Feb 21, 22 I guess depending on if they get a sponsor. I would be willing to venture into the frigid waters. Would you be able to go? Let me know, I'll probably see you at the flea market before then. I'll be dropping off tanks this week. Later

Great, I'm in for that Saturday as well. Any pointers on what should be had when diving this time of year? A thermos filled with a hot beverage perhaps? I'm sure there are a few essentials I may not think about.

Make sure you bring a cooler with HOT water in it, so you can warm your gloves and hood before the dive, and you can defrost your hands when the dive is done. And yes, bring warm beverages. Make sure you have a descent pair of gloves, and your thermals are in good shape. This will be fun.

Cooler with hot water, Ok I'll have to find something adequate. Gloves and hood I think I'm ok, although I have to check the thickness of my hood. I have a brand new pair of Weezles Ex. that I've never worn. I can throw some poly pro's under those for added warmth.

I'll let you know if it was fun after I get the feeling back in my fingers and toes..  I'm sure it will be cool to dive there in the winter when not many people are there.

Dropped my tanks off at TSC today. I also dropped the pony reg off for service. If you remember when we were at dutch it had a little air coming from the first stage. I was told by the shop that, that reg was manufactured like that so it was supposed to have a little leak. I guess you learn something new every day.

Yes! absolutely correct. They said that sherwood purposely made the first stage like that. If there's air coming out water can't get in.

Jay,

I could have told you that too. The constant air bleed also makes it a good cold water reg.

See you at Dutch on the 21st!

Mike

I'm psyched! Although I'm definitely a little apprehensive about the freezing cold water, but I'll be there.

Looks like there is no sponsor for the 21st yet. Billb said he may be available on Sun if he gets back from florida in time. He said he will post by Wed.

Enough said, I'm there...Monday is a holiday so I don't know if they will be open but I have to go pick up my tanks so first thing Tuesday I'll head down there to pick up my tanks and get on the list...I'm sure there is some sort of fee how much is it usually? I've never been to Dutch when it's not open to the public.

I saw Wayne today and got my name on the list. He said if there was anyone else just to tell them to call the shop. He put a sign up sheet at the counter. I still have to find something to put some hot water in. I'll check Dick's sporting goods tomorrow. What time is show time on Sat?
