Hello

Me and a friend will be in Cape May from august 8th to august 12th, and want to dive in the Cape May / Wildwoods / Atlantic City area in these dates. As we have never dived in this region (we both are from Montreal, Canada), we would need either a guide for a shore dive, or a "group dive" if it is from a boat. As we are newly certified (PADI), max depth we can dive is 60'.

We need some informations, and/or contacts;

- Where can we rent equipment (full kit), camera & cases?
- Would anyone, who know the area, be interrested in joining us for a dive or 2 in the Cape May / Wildwoods / Atl.City area?
- Any suggestions as for sites & shops?

- Any mermaids spotted lately ? (Just kidding....)

Thanks for your time, and we look forward diving with you!!

D & D,

Welcome to the forum. We're glad to have our neighbors from north of the border. I love diving in your neck of the woods, specifically, Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence Seaway.

As for diving in Cape May or Wildwood, don't expect to get a boat from that area to head out. I just came from a vacation in Wildwood, and found no boats to take me out from there. However, there is a very good boat leaving from Atlantic City. The Atlantus is chartered very often by East Coast Diving Supply, which is in Northfield, not far from AC. Their info is: 1002 New Road Northfield, NJ 08225 609.646.5090 Store Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Sat: 10am-6pm Wed, Fri: 10am-8pm. Give them a call. They may be able to help you. Tell them Mike from NJdive says hello!

Regards,

Mike
