Jay, this is a fuzzy picture, but its the best I could do under pressure.
Its about the width of your BP, so it fits well. You won't even notice it there.
Click on it for a better one ????
It attaches on the bottom of the BP using two clips.

Here is the wreck reel. There are other types, but this is the general look of it.

I like the pouch I'll be looking for that. Do you need a separate spool (finger spool) for your lift bag/signaling device or do you use your wreck reel.

I went on Dive Rite Express and seen the reels and lift bags. They have the pouch for the bag with the attachments for the back plate. I'll wait til the Flea Market to see if I can pick that stuff up there.

Although I have a finger spool, I've never used it. I use my wreck reel for my liftbag, and I also have a smaller wreck reel that I may carry if I feel adventurous. It takes a bit of training to become proficient with it when using it for navigation or shooting a bag. When we train/dive at Dutch, we often end the dive by shooting our lift bags and ascending on the line. I used to shoot the bag by having it looped around part of the wreck, but I like the free-swimming bag shooting more. Every time I do it I get better at it. When you get a chance, a wreck diving course may be something to consider.

Remember: Train as you dive and dive as you train.

I agree, we have a similar saying in the military. Train like you fight and fight like you train.

Well I return to work on Monday 2-10 shift. After a week or so when I have the routine down I'll be looking for a few courses to take wreck diver may be one of them.

There's probably a good chance that I could find a reel and the lift bag at the OWD flea market. That's right around the corner, I'll be like a kid in a candy store. I better get there early..hahaha

Jay,

Before you go, gimme your cell #. We'll meet up there and do some shopping with your list. I've never been there, and am looking forward to it. Who else wants to hang with the big boys?
