Scott and I made two dives on Monday. I didn't see anyone else, but I know some of you were there. When I was gearing up for dive 1, I grabbed my neckseal to put on the drysuit and the seal was all gooey. I don't know what happened. Maybe it came in contact with my heater, or maybe some chemical got on it, or maybe it was just it's time. I trimmed off the damaged portion with shears and the seal seemed ok, so we went diving. Although there was a little leakage, dive #1 was 61 minutes. My grey t-shirt only showed a small amount of water came in the suit. Dive #2 was totally dry, but the seal is in need of replacement for sure.
Scott was on his first "post surgery" dive after having his shoulder done. I helped him gear up in the water, and carried all his stuff for him. He was fine.
Dive #1: Platform, midwater nav to the crane, around the island, nav. to the helicopter, road, bus, other platform, north wall, around to the comet, and up. 61 minutes.
Dive#2: Midwater swim to the bus, nav. 60 degrees to the hellcat, midwater swim to the entrypoint wall, and to the comet, where we shot bags and ended it with a relaxing hang. 36 minutes.
Viz. on both dives was in the 40'-50' range. The bottom temp was 48 degrees or so, depending on which computer I checked.
