Is there a difference Between the two. I hear different people say Padi training some others say naui training are they the same but different terms or are they different if so is one better then the other?

Thats like asking which is better; Chevrolet or Ford. You will have some diehard fans on each end, and both will give you reasons why theirs is better and the other is not. In this case, both are perfectly fine training agencies. Each have slightly different philosphophies and training requirements, but both teach safety, proper techniques, and sound practices. Don't let the agency name prevent you from taking classes.

You can do the same thing with either one thats what i was thinking but fgured i should check first.
Hey Mike are Padi or Naui Certified?

Some may have more differences in there swimming requirements and physical abilities. Like YMCA has longer qualifying swims but they are not in business now days too. Persons older or not in shape have trouble getting the long swims down to time limits. I can remember a 70 yr old who qualified inside on the time limits. There is also the instructor who forgets to count laps or forgets to start the clock (as in tricking you into working harder at the exercises). Of course I would not do that at all

It all comes down to the instructor not the training agencies.

I'd say as long as you acquire safe diving skills and you can get in the water, the certifying agency really doesn't matter. Get out there and get wet
