I had a question and was wondering if this is normal and anyone else remembers experincing this. I had my first pool training seson last night with TSC and this morning when i woke up my lower back was hurting so i was thinking maybe there was something wrong that i was doing then my G/F called me during her lunch break and said the same thing that her back was hurting her also so i'm like that would be very weird for us both to be wrong especially with it being just us two in the class. So is this something normal maybe from kicking with the fins i would assume you would use the lower back muscles during the straight leg kicks or i was possibly thinking maybe it was from wearing the weight belt around our waist anyone have this is it normal just from using new muscles

You used muscles that your body isn't used to being used, and you also used muscles in different ways than normal. This is faily common, especially since you also wore a weight belt. In addition, chances are that you were in positions you weren't used to, like your back being arched backwards for longer than you thought. Take an advil, put your feet up, and watch TV, since this is not uncommon for new divers. My son experienced the same thing his first few times in the pool.

Hell, after a good day of diving I still experience some soreness.. I'd have to attribute it to age though..haha
