Here are some pics of a mug-like thing I found in the engine room of the Rockland County. I have no idea what it was used for.

How did you find it? What boat did you go out on and where is the trip report?

Hey Mike, that dive was on the StingRay last April. This is what I got from the Engine room and many thanks to Darth for helping me get it into a goody bag.

It was an easy kill too as he was wedged way in his hidey hole. Just reached in with the 6 and poked him. Fried em up the next day. Very good. I can't wait to get out on the Stingray again. She will begin heading out every weekend soon.

I hope to go out with you guys as much as possible. Tell Henrick to email me his weekly trips, so it can be posted on the site. The main njdive.com page is getting between 50-90 hits a day, so people are using the site to see who is going where. The forum is also getting alot of hits lately too, with at least 60 visits per day. Make sure you tell him or I'll....well, or I'll....crap, I won't do anything, cuz he's a cool guy.

Also, I was wondering how you dive with such a deformaty. If you look at the picture of you holding the fish, I can clearly see the growth you have coming out of your left forearm. It looks like a fully developed hand. Clearly there is nobody behind you, so it has to be you. My gosh, you poor poor man.

Mike

Henrik's web site is down for the moment. As I am still a crew member, I will be able to post up-comming trips here. However, this season I will not be crewing as often because I just do not have the time.
The third hand in the pic is not mine but having an extra would be nice.

I told Henrick I'd make him a website for free and piggyback it on the end of the njdive site, but he seemed content with what he had. If his site is going to be down for a while, let him know that my offer still stands. Just like the Venture III, the Lady Godiver, and the Outlaw, I'd make him a one pager and he can have on there what he wants free of charge. I know these three sites are kind of bare, but thats because two of them haven't sent my anything at all to post yet, and the third is being sold.

If you post trips in the boat openings forum, it automatically puts the two most recent posts on the main forum page under the "announcement" heading. That way its easy for people to see the most recent postings about who is going where.

The mug thing was found deep inside the wreck. It was half buried. It looked like a pipe sticking out from a pile of debris when I found it. I assume it was used on the ship, because it is made entirely of stainless steel. What it was actually used for, I have no clue. However, there is a bead of weld on the inside around the hole at the bottom. Perhaps that is a clue. If anyone knows what it was used for please let me know.
