8-17-09 – We cleared Shark River Inlet and were treated to flat calm conditions with a light sea breeze (as forecasted). Our plan was for some fluke hunting. It was a short run to this season’s parking lot (Sea Girt Reef) and we found more boats than expected for a Monday. Our first stop was the Horseshoe where one nice flattie was brought up along with a nice galvanized anchor, complete with chain and shackles that would fit well on a 28’-40’ boat. Second stop was the Cranford. Visibility was 25’-30’ with water temperature at 61F.
