Yo Davila...sorry....Couped,

Sometimes the closest shop is not always the best one. Consider the size of the staff, their knowleldge, the amount of choices they give you when buying gear, the level of training the staff has and can offer you, and their reputation. I know of a DM who travels past two shops to DM at one specific shop. I know an instructor who drives right past a local shop to teach in another shop 45 minutes farther. I clearly have my favorite shop, The Scuba Connection, and I'm the first to ring their bell. I've used two other shops before I found them, and quicky realized that these two shops were clearly outclassed by them. I would rather drive an hour to get better training at a shop than to drive a short distance to get short-changed. You will get many recommendations by many people as to what shop you should go to, but the bottom line is that it is your choice. Make an educated decision after giving each a visit. You'll be glad you spent the time checking into the shops.

 You say my last name and I'm looking around for one of my Troops or someone from work, ha caught me off guard.

Yeah I agree with you sometimes it's better to go out of your way a little for better service. I don't particularly feel the service at my LDS is bad but I just get the feeling that to them I'm just a customer and it's all business. For some reason I don't think it's supposed to be like that. Maybe it is I don't know. I know everyone has their favorite place. I'm going to check a few places out TSC included and make a decision based on what I find. Hopefully I'll find a place where I will feel that I'm more than just a customer if you know what I mean.

When you come to TSC, let me know and I'll meet you there.

By the way, your name was on your shirt in the picture you posted in the humvee. :D

As the crazy Australian army guys would say "no worries mate", I knew the name was on the shirt. Yeah I will definitely let you know when I'm headed to TSC. I've heard them mentioned a few times here and there. I'll be home next week, so I'll probably be doing a little "XMAS" shopping.haha

"Refreshing" hahaha that's an understatement. More like freezing..LOL That's cool though that you can dive this late in the year. That's the main reason I want to start diving in Jersey, so I can dive more often. Let's not forget the occasional lobster, mussell, or scallop.LOL I wont be wasting any time getting my gear ready though. A dry suit is the first thing on my list of items and I already have an appointment to check some out.
