Hey Mike,
I went by TSC today..Sorry I didn't reach out to you so you could meet me there but I kind of got a late start so I packed up my stuff and let my GPS get me there. It's actually not a bad ride at all maybe 20-25 mins.

I needed to have the 2 hp 119's I picked up last week VIP and I had the hp 100 I picked up at the Flea Market O2 cleaned along with a pony bottle. I'm also having them all filled for our outing to Dutch with 32% which should be good for diving there.

Let me say that as first impressions go they made a great one. I felt totally comfortable there, they were all helpful and informative. Aside from the tanks, I had a question about my reg which they quickly took to the back and checked out for me. I was invited to the back and got a quick but very informative lesson on my reg set up. My "OLD" LDS would have taken it and said it needed to be fixed and charged me some money I am sure of that..Needless to say that I will use TSC for my scuba needs from now on. It's actually close enough for me to be a little afraid....can never have enough scuba stuff...hahaha or worst yet I could become a bona-fide scuba shop bum....Later

I'm glad you had such a good experience with them. I've recommended them to several people over the past several years, and I've noticed that your experience has been the standard. I can remember my first time walking into their shop years ago, and being approached by Wayne, one of the owners. I wasn't treated like a walking dollar sign, and was also impressed with the size of the shop and the pool they have to let you try before you buy. I was so impressed that I spend a couple of years as a DM for them, only stopping due to my own schedule and family issues. If things were different, I'd be a "shop rat" there too. Call me next time you go and I'll see if I can meet you there.

Mike

I bought most of my tech equipment at this shop, including my drysuit, doubles, backplate/wings, regulators, computer.. and had several dive classes there. Wayne, Jason and George are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Alas, when I ripped my drysuit I sent it directly to DUI for repairs instead of going through the shop (an honest mistake on my part) and now they want $80 to cut the new neck seal. I understand that LDS makes money on repairs, but it seems an inappropriate way to treat a regular customer who's given them thousands of dollars of business in sales, classes and referrals. It's a good shop but needs improvement in customer service.

Wow, I'm kind of surprised. $80 is a lot of money to cut a neck seal...And it's funny that you say that because I sent my dry suit to DUI and had wrist and neck seals replaced. The wrist seals are completely closed and I was going to ask them if they would cut them for me along with the neck seal but for $80 I'll take the risk and cut them myself. I have a pair of sharp scissors. haha I still like the shop, I haven't done a lot of business with them yet. I'll have to see as I go along I guess. Thanks

Jay

I'd recommend TSC too. I went there to buy some scuba gear and even though we were not able to negotiate a price to our mutual liking, the folks were great throught out the process. I met with Wayne, one of the owners. Great guy, didn't try to push any of their products on me and made a genuine effort to work with me on pricing. Even though I did not end up buying from them, I would definitly recommend them.

I Recently Called them and Had Spoke with Jason. they are currently Having a Special if you bring a friend the friend pay's half price which is great because it will save some money. whether your a couple or two friends splitting the total this made my decision to absolutly do the training there with them. And as far as Prices on Gear we seem to be on the same Page so will see how that goes.
